Do South Africans decorate fig trees as Christmas trees during Christmas?
I just read in an English Elementary School text book that it is one of our customs. I've never seen this. Have you?
Well, we do, don?t we. They are adorned with green and gold "baubles", commonly known as figs. I?ve just come back from a long, hard day at work, and must thank all of you for your humorous posts, I have been cackling all the way since I signed in to YQ&A, this evening. And figs trees disguised as Christmas trees, well, that?s the spirit! Keep it up.
