Do you Believe Irish Civil Servants are the Stupidest on Earth?
When my daughter went to a Government office in Dublin To get a Number to take up employment and told the woman there that both her parents were born in Dublin cos she has an American accent The woman told her that she would have to get a passport And that she would have to go back to Boston to apply for an Irish Passport, And that it did not matter where her parents were born but where she was born.....Now I ask you The woman is perfectly right. If she was born in Ireland then she would have been given a PRSI number when her parents registered her birth. If she wasnt born in Ireland then she doesnt have one and it nothing to do with her parents she cant be given a PRSI number just because they have one. If shes a foreign birth and registered as one she needs a passport to prove it. If shes old enough to work then shes a big girl and its her own buisness to find all this out.
