I have an early flight from Bologna to Frankfurt on Tuesday. Where's the best place to stay to make sure I caqn get to the airport on time? I live about an hour from Bologna, but the first train in the morning is too late for an early flight. I usually stay at the Bologna Sheraton - it's a large, nice hotel very close to the airport. They have a shuttle service that starts at 5:15 am - plenty of time for the earliest departures. The breakfast is open in time to eat and still catch the shuttle.
If you prefer to be in the city overnight, there will be cabs at the trainstation or any hotel can call you a cab. There's a frequent shuttle bus from the station to the airport, but the first one won't connect to the earliest departures. The Starhotel Excelsior is right across the street from the station.
