One of the most rewarding aspects of living close to Mt Cheam is that every summer many para gliders and hang gliders come to fly for the day. I ascended this mountain with the help of a friend who owns a Jeep 4 x4 and together we climbed this mountain on the north side. Earlier that day I took a number of photos of these para gliders taking off to flight. With this shot it was much later in the afternoon which explains for the wonderful side lighting on this sail. Below at the bottom of the frame is the # 1 highway which shows the altitude that this flight took. If you make an appointment for a tandem flight in advance you too can join the skies with these gliders at the cost of $125 dollars. Enjoy!
