Priceline, Hotwire, Travelocity?

Who tends to have the best deals as far as vacation packages?
Also, does the price go up or down the closer to the vacation date?
Generally what people like to do is check out all the major sites to compare....each and every trip will be different. Although each website/company can be competitive, not one company can absolutely be sure that they'll have the lowest price each and every time. Hotwire does have some pretty good deals on airfare, but they do not disclose which airline ticket you are purchasing and if it has stops or not (they don't even tell you where you'll be stopping)...until you finalize the purchase of your ticket. I dont know about you, but I kind of like to chose on my own.
