Roundabouts - why do people find it so hard to navigate them???
We have a round about by us, which has two lanes to approach it. There are three exits, one to the left - leads to another roundabout, one straight on - leads to M6Toll junction and the third, to the right - leads to another roundabout.
If you wish to turn right at the first roundabout and then left at the second one, which lanes would you get into in order? Right then left.
The right lane at a roundabout should only ever be used for turning right. (Unless it's stipulated otherwise on signs before the roundabout of course.)
[This is a pet hate of mine also - I asked a similar question recently and gave the best answer to the Advanced Driving Instructor who I figured was qualified enough.]
