Hi, myself and a friend are having a holiday in Prague in February. How easy it is to get from the airport to the city centre. What is he easiest (and fairly cheapish) method? A couple of other people have already given you links to sites with information. The #119 bus is very easy if you're staying in the old town. This is by far the cheapest (20 CZK) way to get to the city. There's a ticket booth in the airport just before you go outside. You can buy tickets on the bus if there's a long line, but it's a little cheaper buying them inside. The bus stop is along the road outside the airport. Just stamp the ticket when you get on the bus. The last stop (about 20 min) is the metro station. Your ticket is good for the metro ride into the city too. This is the end of the metro line, so the trains only go in one direction from here. If you're staying near the Old Town Square or Male Namesti, the best stop is the 3rd one (Staromestka). This will put you along the river near Charles Bridge (with a good view of the castle). It's a few blocks walk away from the river to reach Old Town Square. If you're staying near Wenceslaus Square, you want the 3rd (Mustek) or 4th (Muzeum) stop at the two ends of the Square.
Do not take the taxis or the other transport services unless you're willing to pay 10 to 20 times the price of the bus ticket. Some of the shuttles just run to Republic Square anyway rather than taking you to your hotel. There are a lot of taxi scams in Prague.
