What do you think of this? (hebrew speakers only)?
read part 2, i personaly laughed my @ss off
hehe nice article...thank you hammer
I am a bit more moderate person so I say
ok I get the point which is:
he is an arab Israeli and the minister of science and techonology of Israel but he doesn't actually see himself Israeli before he is a muslim but stays in israel to influence it for his interests...it's ok he can be here he doesn't have to be first Israeli and then muslim... it's ok by me
ok so what's new? we all know that the Israeli arabs in the government are their for their own muslim/arabic interests!
it's not new....
Maty golan is known for his critisism and suspects on the all the government ppl and yes some of the times he is right but what's new here ? he's saying he is an arab minister in the Israeli government which doesn't want to go to palestine and just wants to stay in the government and influence Israels decisions in the knesset... I don't know why that is so bad ,, as long as he doesn't try to change Israels status as a shelter for jews it's ok by me... he is a moderate person himself I hope
yeah diana you are right in part 1 it says he doesn't want to recognize Israel as a jewish country - I think this isn't right for him to say.. I agree with you hammer and diana - when they will have a state I think it's fair that Israel should remain a jewish state but nonetheless... I as a citizen will never accept if the government starts to put to much emphasis on judaism if this country becomes too much religious I won't stand for it and leave.. I'm secular and so is most of Israel so I don't see it happening but it has to remain a state of the jews and only because history should have taught us that this is a very important issue
edit: he also says he doesn't want to be a palestinian.. he wants to be an Israeli - I don't know if this is just for influence or he really wants to be an Israeli... this is always the issue - for the Israeli arabs... they don't want to be part of palestine but also some of them aren't so sure of their Israeliness... what will they decide?
hebrew hammer that is really not ok at all of you to say - I understand that you are mad about them getting treated so good after being attacked by them but you have to understand the USA also knows today that if you want enemies to become friends you have to treat them with all the rights and Israel did that, but in my opinion you shouldn't hate them for still not accepting everything in Israel it's their right to have an opinion of their state as well... I have met many Israeli arabs most of them want to live in Israel and see it as a good country for them you can go to any big city such with muslims as haifa, nazrath, tira and so on they will tell you they want to be part of Israel.
