When I went to the US for work sometime ago, I kept calling my then fiance (whose now my husband) and we would talk on the phone everyday, a big chunk of my salary goes to phone cards just to hear his voice for an hour each day, and then when I got home, it hit me that not only did I miss him, but I miss my family the most, I missed my mom's home cooked meals, my dad's hugs, and my sibling's never-ending kulit!

I promised myself never to leave the country again without my spouse.
