Where is the best place to stay near Cancun, Mexico?

I have stayed at a condominium (which I liked) before in Cancun, but wanted to know about some good resorts or condominiums. The place does not have to be in Cancun, just something close to it.

Also, are any of these resorts vegetarian friendly?
I have been to Cancun numerous times and my favorite by far was the Riu Cancun. Its right at the corner of the seven if you look at the map. We did all inclusive where all your food and drinks were paid for. The swim up bar was amazing. It was surrounded by little tables in the water.
